Fast Cars

Through the years as I’ve gained more and more investment experience and knowledge, one thing hasn’t changed. I always wanted a fast investment return on whatever venture I’m involved in. One of the fastest and must successful investments I’ve made has been investing in the car buying and reselling industry.

When I first started out investing in cars, I went to an auction and bought a car that had been repossessed by a bank. I spent a little over $500 and, without doing any repairs at all, was able to sell it days later for over $1,000. I knew immediately that I was on to something good.

My next step was to buy several more cars at auction. When I had similar results, it was only a matter of a few weeks before I had over a dozen of cars in my inventory. As my business progressed I started looking at bigger ways to get cars on the cheap and enjoy my fast investment return. While visiting a city that has a very efficient public transportation system and very little parking, I noticed that there were a ton of people selling their cars there. The cars were very cheap compared to other cities, as there were so many trying to sell and few trying to buy.

A few weeks later I was able to return and buy up dozens of cars for much cheaper than they were worth. I shipped them home and made a ton of profit. This is a great example of how a small investment can build and build into a lucrative business venture.

Turbochargers really do speed up the car. It does this by compressing the air that enters into the engine. In doing so, more air is allowed to enter and thus allowing more fuel to enter as well. By this process, the cylinders in the car will also yield more power resulting to faster acceleration. Turbochargers work in a way that is similar to recycling since it uses the waste steam to power the air compressor. However, because of this, turbochargers are also prone to high heat and may need cooling once in awhile.

Turbo cars do have the advantage over non-turbo cars in that their engine can produce more power. Turbo cars also have better efficiency since heat is being recycled as mentioned above. Turbochargers are also small that they can even fit in 4 cylinder cars. More importantly, turbo cars are fuel efficient in that it can achieve more power as if it were using a larger engine, yet only uses the normal amount of fuel for that particular engine.

Like most things, turbo cars also has its disadvantages in that if an incorrectly fitted and sized turbocharger is used, it will have little or no effect on boosting. Instead of being able to boost quickly, the car may respond poorly to acceleration. Turbocharger also has a turbo lag, which is very inconvenient when racing. Timing is very important to attain a turbo car’s maximum performance. Another disadvantage of turbo cars is that it is costly to install a turbo kit since upgrades are always available and are commonly required. Also, it is very complex to install a turbocharger and you will need to learn a lot of engineering to get it right the first time so you would rather have someone do it for you, which in turns add to the cost.

Turbo cars are indeed faster than non-turbo cars but the decision to have a turbo kit installed in your car must be well-thought of since installing one will not be an easy process. Ask yourself if it is worth your money to install a turbo kit or do you just want one for status symbol? If indeed you are confident enough that you can maintain a turbo car, then by all means get a turbo kit and have it installed. But always remember that driving a fast car does not mean you will compromise safety, so even if you have a turbo car, to drive safely must top your list of road concerns.

The smash movie “The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift” hit the big screen around the world with a serious bang. It was definitely the head turning combination of action packed drifting, attractive girls and the hot collection of cars of The Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift that made it an instant hit.

Lets take a closer look at the cars of Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift.

Modified performance cars are seen throughout, from start to finish. There are anything from full Japanese drift cars ready for competition to the highest rank of show quality modified cars.

If memory serves me well, there were a couple of American muscle cars such as a Viper and and old ____ right at the start. Then shortly, the scenery moved to Japan where we were sprayed with all types of Japanese performance drift cars.

The cool thing about the movie was that the cars of The Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift actually held as much of an important role in the movie as the real human actors. The main character car and most memorable was the orange and black Rx7 FD with Veilside body kit. This was their cruise car they used to chase and be chased. It eventually ended up in a burning pile of rubble.

There there was the villain car, a black Nissan 350Z driven by the girls by the Japanese Mafia’s nephew was out to show who was boss only to be beaten by a RB26 powered Mustang fastback.

And how could we forget the girl’s car? The sky blue and black Mazda Rx8 driven by a high school girl played by actress Nathalie Kelley. Even though this was supposed to be the girls car, we can’t say the Rx8 is ‘girly’. Mazda Rx8’s make great drift cars.

With an all-star cast of cars in The Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift movie, it’s a must see for any drift racing and Japanese modified car fans.

When you ask someone if they had an open checkbook to buy any vehicle they wanted just about every serious car lover will choose a high quality sports car. Many people may debate what exactly encompasses the term of “high quality” but all will agree that when it comes to a sports car what matters the most is speed.

In sports car circles the car that is known as the fastest is the ‘94 Dauer 962 LeMans which blasts from zero to sixty miles per hour in only 2.6 seconds. Compare this to the Ferrari ENZO which is not only Ferrari’s fastest car but also the one that most novices think of as the fastest at 3.5 seconds in the zero to sixty time. There are actually numerous other sports cars like the Corvette, Viper, and cars from Audi and Renault that are all at under 3.0 in the 0-60 testing.

So, the question for the car enthusiast is, “what is it that makes these fast cars so fast?”

The aerodynamic sleek styling that makes true sports cars so appealing to sports car lovers contributes much more than mere looks. This is also one of the primary reasons why these high performance cars are so fast, they are simply slippery against the wind resistance as they speed down the highway. This is why the designs of sports cars are tested in wind tunnels, so that the best possible drag coefficient can be achieved.

The weight of a car is another major factor in the speed of a sports car. This is the reason why race cars as well as high end sports cars are made of lightweight composite materials that help reduce the overall weight of a vehicle. Another thing that you will notice with sports cars is that they do not have large trunks or storage compartments. In fact, you are lucky to be able to fit a bag of golf clubs in the trunk or hatchback of a true sports car, in addition they usually only have two seats and have much firmer and tighter suspensions.

Lastly, the way a vehicle handles when cornering or going around curves is crucial as well. A true sports car must be able to keep up its straight-line speed when taking tight curves at high speeds. This is why the best of the high performance sports cars in the world are also rear wheel drive, the rear wheel drive set up makes for better weight distribution as the car is making turns.

All of the styling in the world won’t matter if your car isn’t fast, nothing is worse than a car that looks fast that isn’t. To take a word from my son, they are posers.

How fast are they really?

If your interested in buying an electric RC car then you likely have a few questions regarding what you can expect from them. The main question that arises the most kind of speeds can it reach. Fast electric RC cars, the ones that are tuned just right and have a custom engine are still no match to a gas powered RC car. You can realistically expect speeds of 30-45 MPH on an average electric RC car and 50-75 MPH on a more advanced and properly tuned vehicle.

Battery Life/Run Time

Another factor that should be considered before making a purchase is the battery life. The battery life on an average RC car will give you 15 to 20 minutes of run time – full speed. Some radio control cars will deplete energy faster depending on accessories like working lights, alarms and the like. Check the battery charge rating on the specifications sheet to ensure it will run on a single charge according to your expectations.

Space Requirements/Where To Race

Unlike gas powered RC cars, electric RC cars can be driven/raced in apartment complexes due to being slower and the reduced noise levels no worrying about complaining neighbors! Most fast electric RC cars are built with standard street tires which are smaller and use less rubber. This is ideal if your in town and you’ll only be driving on pavement. If your into offroad racing then you will need to upgrade your RC car tires to a larger size with better tread for increased grip.

Your Local Hobby Shop

Hobby shops often have race tracks and strips of pavement specifically for racing RC cars – a great place to have some fun and learn some interesting things about RC cars from other enthusiasts. If you really decide you like the RC hobby world then you can even enter racing competitions that take place at these tracks and have a chance at winning prizes! Electric RC cars may be fast but they are no competition for a gas powered RC car so you may be out of luck unless they specifically have different competition groups for gas and electric RC cars.

About The Radio Control Signal

One final note pertains to the signal output by your controller. On cheaper RC cars the signal may interfere with other RC cars and you may experience dead spots where you lose control of your RC car. Better models use a specific signal “channel” for each type of RC car that is built – if the same two RC cars are together you have the option of switching to another “channel” so this does not happen.
